ALPAO Deformable Mirrors (DM) are based on a unique technology consisting of a continuous reflective surface driven by electromagnetic actuators. These mirrors dynamically adapt their shape in real time to correct optical aberrations and deliver high-resolution images.

To match your needs and technical requirements, we offer a large range of Deformable Mirrors where each mirror can feature different actuators counts, pupil diameter, improved stability and strokes. Our products provide high dynamic motion and excellent optical quality, ensuring fast and accurate wavefront correction.

Each Alpao DM comes with its standard connectivity, SDK library and drive electronics. However, to address power capacity constraints and space limitations you can opt for our new compact eDM with embedded electronics.

TECHNOLOGY

Alpao’s Deformable Mirrors (DM) are powered by state-of-the-art electromagnetic actuators. By applying a current to the coils, the magnets move up and down, dynamically deforming the membrane to correct optical distortions in real time. This unique technique enables fast motion and real-time shape adjustments to account for dynamic changes in the optical environment.
